What triggers can I use?

Do I need to write code?

No. The basic Finseo workflow uses no code: trigger node plus HTTP Request node. For advanced use cases (data transformation, enrichment, dedupe), use the Code node with JavaScript or Python. Most teams never need code for attribution workflows.

How do I authenticate with the Finseo API?

Bearer token authentication. Add a header Authorization: Bearer sk_live_yourkey to the HTTP Request node. Generate the key at Finseo /api. n8n supports credential management to securely store API keys across workflows.

Can I send batched data?

Yes. Use n8n Split In Batches node to process large datasets in chunks. The Finseo API accepts individual POST requests per attribution event. For very high volumes (1000+ per minute), contact us about bulk API endpoints.

What about retry logic?

n8n HTTP Request nodes support retry on failure with configurable attempts and backoff. Configure retry to handle transient network errors gracefully. Failed events are logged in n8n executions for review and replay.

Is there a native n8n Finseo node?

A native Finseo n8n node is in development. The current setup uses HTTP Request nodes with the Finseo REST API, which works perfectly today. The native node will simplify field mapping and add Finseo specific actions like create attribution event, fetch metrics, etc.

Add an HTTP Request node. Set Method to POST and URL to the Finseo API endpoint. Set Body Content Type to JSON.
