Frequently asked questions about Analytics integrations
Answers to the most common questions about Finseo Analytics integrations.
Finseo integrates with three analytics platforms: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for website traffic and conversion data, Google Search Console for organic search performance, and Bing Webmaster Tools for Bing search performance and Microsoft Copilot proxy data. All three connect via OAuth in 60 seconds each.
Most AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini) either send no referrer header, send an inconsistent one, or send a referrer that GA4 categorizes as direct or referral. This makes AI traffic invisible to standard analytics workflows. Finseo applies referrer pattern matching, fingerprinting, and known AI source lists to correctly attribute these visits.
No. All three analytics integrations are read only and use existing tracking. GA4 reads your existing gtag setup. Search Console and Bing Webmaster pull from already verified properties. No code changes, no new scripts, no tag manager edits required.
Microsoft Copilot retrieves answers primarily from the Bing index. Finseo combines Bing Webmaster Tools data (which shows Bing search performance as a strong proxy for Copilot retrieval) with direct Copilot referral detection from your GA4 data. Together these give the most complete view of Copilot driven traffic.
Yes. Finseo correlates your Search Console data with Google AI Overviews appearances detected by Finseo crawlers. You see which of your pages and queries appear in AI Overviews, plus the position lift or drop compared to standard organic results.
Yes. The GA4 integration reads your conversion events and ecommerce data, then breaks them down by AI source. You see sign-ups from ChatGPT, demo requests from Perplexity, and revenue from each AI engine separately. This works with your existing GA4 conversion setup, no extra configuration needed.
Each Finseo project connects one GA4 property, one Search Console property, and one Bing site. For multi-site setups, create separate Finseo projects per site and connect different properties to each. There is no limit on the number of projects per Finseo account.
Yes. All three analytics integrations (GA4, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools) are available on every Finseo plan. There are no per integration fees or add on costs.
