Google Search Console

Connect Google Search Console to see your top queries, best-performing pages, click-through rates, and average positions alongside AI visibility metrics.

Overview

What you get with the Google Search Console integration

Finseo connects to your Search Console property and pulls your organic search data. You see top queries, best pages, CTR, average position, and clicks. Crucially, this sits next to your AI visibility data so you can spot where traditional SEO works but AI search does not, and vice versa. The two channels need different optimization, and you need both to win in 2026.

Use cases

What you can do with Google Search Console and Finseo

Real ways Google Search Console customers use Finseo to track and grow AI search revenue.

  1. 01

    Compare organic vs AI search

See which queries you rank for in Google and whether you also appear in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude for similar queries. Identify the gaps between traditional SEO success and AI visibility.

  2. 02

    Find Google AI Overviews wins

Track which of your pages appear in Google AI Overviews. Correlate AI Overviews appearances with your organic positions and click-through rates to understand the lift.

  3. 03

    Top performing pages

See which pages drive the most organic clicks. Use this list to prioritize AEO optimization, since pages that already perform in Google often have the strongest signals to perform in AI search.

  4. 04

    Query-level insight

See exact queries that bring traffic. The agent can use these as input for AEO optimization, restructuring content to answer the same questions in formats AI engines extract.

  5. 05

    CTR optimization

Find queries where you rank well but CTR is low. The Finseo agent can rewrite titles and meta descriptions for those queries to capture more clicks from both Google search and AI Overviews.

Why it matters

Why Google Search Console customers need AI visibility tracking

Google still drives the majority of search traffic for most sites, but Google AI Overviews now appear on over 47% of US searches and growing. Search Console data alone misses the AI dimension, while AI visibility tools alone miss the traditional search context. Finseo combines both into a single view so you can optimize for the full search landscape, traditional Google rankings plus citations from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Google Search Console

Answers to the most common questions about the Google Search Console integration.

Finseo uses the official Search Console API via OAuth. You authorize from Google with read-only access. Finseo never modifies your Search Console property, never submits sitemaps, and never requests indexing on your behalf. The connection is fully read only.

Finseo reads Search Analytics data (queries, pages, clicks, impressions, CTR, average position) and property metadata (verified domains, sitemaps detected). Inspection API data is not pulled. All data is segmented by your verified property and date range.

Yes. Finseo correlates your Search Console data with Google AI Overviews appearances detected by Finseo crawlers. You see which of your pages and queries appear in AI Overviews, plus the position lift or drop compared to standard organic results.

No. Finseo augments Search Console with AI visibility context. You should still use Search Console for technical SEO (sitemaps, coverage, manual actions, Core Web Vitals). Finseo focuses on AI search performance and the connection between traditional SEO and AEO.

Yes. Each Finseo project can connect one Search Console property. For multi-site setups, create separate projects and connect a different property to each. There is no limit on the number of projects per Finseo account.

Search Console data updates daily with a 2 to 3 day delay (the same delay applies in Google Search Console itself). AI visibility data updates daily without delay. Both are visible in the same dashboard with timestamps.

Yes. The Finseo agent uses Search Console data as input for AEO suggestions. For example, if a query brings clicks but has low CTR, the agent can propose a rewritten title and meta description optimized for that query, then push it to your CMS via the Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, or Framer integration.

No. Search Console data is stored in your Finseo project and visible only to project members. We do not share, resell, or aggregate your search data. All data is stored encrypted at rest and in transit.
