AWS CloudFront AI Visibility Integration
A native AWS CloudFront connection via CloudWatch is coming soon to Finseo Bot Traffic. It will show which pages the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini fetch from your distributions. Until then, the NDJSON push covers the same ground.

Overview
AI crawler tracking with AWS CloudFront.
AI crawler tracking with AWS CloudFront is coming soon; until then, server logs show which AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot fetch your pages. The AWS CloudFront integration is in preparation and not yet available to connect.
01
Crawler coverage across distributions
Once connected, see whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot reach every site behind your CloudFront distributions or stop at the homepage.
02
Find blocked or absent crawlers
If Google-Extended or OAI-SearchBot never appears in Bot Traffic, an AWS WAF rule, robots.txt directive, or bot protection setting is likely blocking it.
03
Tie crawls to AI citations
Compare the pages OAI-SearchBot and Claude-SearchBot fetch with the sources ChatGPT and Claude cite for your tracked prompts.
04
Monitor status codes for AI bots
Bot Traffic breaks responses down by crawler, so redirects, 404s, and 5xx errors that stop Gemini or Microsoft Copilot from reading a page surface quickly, whichever source delivered the request data.
05
Start now, switch later
Crawler visits you push today through Server Logs / API stay in your Bot Traffic project. When the CloudFront connection launches, overlapping visits are deduplicated, so history and the new feed sit together.
Examples
How teams use AWS CloudFront with Finseo.
Four examples of what happens in Finseo once AWS CloudFront is connected, shown with the fields and labels from the app.
01 Example A
Who reads your pages
Every visit is sorted by purpose: live answers while someone asks, the search index, or model training.

How it connects
How the AWS CloudFront AI visibility integration works.

Why it matters
Why AWS CloudFront customers need AI visibility tracking.
Many sites on AWS are delivered through CloudFront, so the edge is the most complete record of what AI crawlers request. GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot do not run JavaScript, which means tag-based analytics shows zero AI crawler activity.

Step 01
Check the status in Finseo
In Finseo, open Bot Traffic, Sync. The AWS CloudFront, CloudWatch card shows Coming Soon. There is no CloudFront-specific setup yet, so use the Server Logs / API connection for now.
Step 02
Connect Server Logs / API
Click Connect on the Server Logs / API card. Finseo shows an endpoint URL and an Authorization header with a Bearer token, along with a curl example for pushing batches.
Step 03
Map log fields to NDJSON
In your existing log pipeline, write one JSON object per crawler request with at least ClientIP, ClientRequestUserAgent, ClientRequestPath, and EdgeStartTimestamp. Status, bytes, host, and referrer enrich the dashboard.
Step 04
Push batches to Finseo
POST the NDJSON to the endpoint, plaintext or gzip, hourly or more often. Retries are safe because batches are deduplicated server-side. The card switches to Connected after the first push.
Step 05
Review crawlers in Bot Traffic
Open Bot Traffic to see crawled pages, crawl frequency, and status codes per crawler. When the native CloudFront connection launches, it will feed the same project.
