What you get with the Trello integration
Finseo connects to Trello with an API key and token pair. Every task on the Finseo Tasks page gets an Export to Trello action: pick a board list, optionally a Trello member, and a card is created with the evidence and recommended steps in markdown in its description. Under Tasks, then Automation, rules can create Trello cards from new tasks automatically, filtered by category and minimum impact.

How to connect
How to connect Trello to Finseo
A few steps to wire up your Trello account with Finseo. No code required.

Create a Power-Up and API key
Go to trello.com/power-ups/admin and create a Power-Up if you have none (name and email are enough, no code required). Open it, switch to the API Key tab, and click Generate a new API Key.

Generate a token
Click the Token link next to your API key, review the permissions, and click Allow. Trello shows a 64-character token. Copy both the key and the token.

Connect in Finseo
Open Integrations, then Trello, then Connect. Enter the API key and the token, then save.

Export a task as a card
On the Tasks page, open any task and choose Export to Trello. Pick a board list and optionally a Trello member.

Under Tasks, then Automation, add a rule filtered by category and minimum impact, enable Create in PM tool, then Trello, and pick the list.

With an API key and token pair. The key belongs to a Trello Power-Up you create in the Power-Ups admin portal, and the token is generated through the Token link next to that key. Enter both values in the Finseo connect dialog.
No. Creating a Power-Up in the admin portal only requires a name and an email address. It exists so Trello can issue an API key. You never publish or develop the Power-Up, and Finseo handles all API calls once the key and token are saved.
Key and token belong together: the token must have been generated via the Token link of the same API key. Regenerating the key invalidates old tokens, so create a fresh token after any regeneration and enter both values again in Finseo.
The token grants access to boards your Trello user is a member of, and Finseo shows their lists in the picker. If a board or list is missing, join the board in Trello, then reopen the picker in Finseo and select the list.
Yes. When exporting a task you can choose a Trello member, and the card is created with that member added. Automation rules create cards in the selected list based on category and minimum impact filters, so new tasks reach the board without manual work.
No. The integration is one way from Finseo to Trello. You move cards across lists as usual, while Finseo keeps measuring whether your visibility on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews improves after the work is done. Cards can be re-exported.
Yes. All Finseo integrations, including Trello and the automation rules, are included on every plan with no per-integration fees. On the Trello side a free account that is a member of the target board is enough to create cards through the integration.
