Notion

Add Finseo visibility tasks as pages to any Notion database, such as your content calendar or sprint board, with the full recommendation as page content, so your team plans the fixes behind ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini citations.

Overview

What you get with the Notion integration

Finseo connects to Notion through an internal integration you create in your workspace and share with the target database. Every task on the Finseo Tasks page gets an Export to Notion action: pick the database, and Finseo creates one page per task with the title as the page name and the description, evidence, and steps as page content. Under Tasks, then Automation, rules can add new tasks to a database automatically, filtered by category and minimum impact.

Use cases

What you can do with Notion and Finseo

Real ways Notion customers use Finseo to track and grow AI search revenue.

  1. 01

    Content calendar

Content tasks (rewrite a section, add an FAQ block, create a page for an uncovered prompt) become pages in the editorial calendar with the evidence and outline inside.

  2. 02

    Sprint board in Notion

Teams that run sprints in a Notion database export Technical tasks as pages, then set status, sprint, and owner properties as usual.

  3. 03

    AEO knowledge base

A dedicated database collects every Finseo task with its evidence, so the team builds a searchable record of what was changed and why AI engines rewarded it.

  4. 04

    Agency client wikis

Agencies share one Notion database per client. Automation rules add high-impact tasks per Finseo project, and clients see the plan without a Finseo login.

  5. 05

    Impact-gated backlog

Set a minimum impact so only tasks with a meaningful effect on ChatGPT and Perplexity visibility become pages, keeping the database curated.

Why it matters

Why Notion customers need AI visibility tracking

Notion is where many marketing, content, and product teams keep their calendars, wikis, and sprint boards, with more than 100 million users worldwide. Finseo generates Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) tasks from how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot answer the prompts that matter to your business. Adding those tasks as pages in the databases your team already uses means the plan, the evidence, and the resulting content live in one place, and AI visibility becomes part of the editorial process instead of a separate report.

How to connect

How to connect Notion to Finseo

A few steps to wire up your Notion account with Finseo. No code required.

  1. 01

    Create an internal integration

Go to notion.so/my-integrations as a workspace owner, click New integration, name it (for example Finseo), pick the workspace, and save. Copy the Internal Integration Secret that starts with ntn_.

  2. 02

Share the database with the integration

Open the target database in Notion, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, choose Connections, and add your integration. Without this step every export fails with Could not find object.

  3. 03

    Connect in Finseo

Open Integrations, then Notion, then Connect. Paste the secret and save.

  4. 04

Export a task as a page

On the Tasks page, open any task and choose Export to Notion, then pick the database. Finseo creates one page with the title as page name and the recommendation as content.

  5. 05

    Create an automation rule

Under Tasks, then Automation, add a rule filtered by category and minimum impact, enable Create in PM tool, then Notion, and pick the database.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Notion

Answers to the most common questions about the Notion integration.

It adds AI visibility tasks from the Finseo Tasks page as pages in any Notion database, for example a content calendar or sprint board. The task title becomes the page name and the description, evidence from ChatGPT or Perplexity answers, and steps become page content.

Through an internal integration you create at notion.so/my-integrations as a workspace owner. Copy its Internal Integration Secret (starts with ntn_, older tokens with secret_) and paste it into the Finseo connect dialog. OAuth client secrets of public integrations are not supported.

The integration has not been connected to the database. A new Notion integration cannot see any content until you explicitly share the target database with it: open the database, click the three-dot menu, choose Connections, and add your integration. Then try again.

Any database you have shared with the integration via Connections. Finseo shows those databases in the picker. If the picker is empty, the integration has not been added to any database yet, so connect it in Notion and reopen the picker.

One page per exported task. The Finseo task title is the page name, and the page body contains the full recommendation: the description, the evidence that triggered it, and step-by-step instructions. Your own database properties such as status or owner stay available to fill in.

Under Tasks, then Automation, rules run on every newly generated Finseo task. Filter by category (Content, Technical, Authority) and minimum impact, enable Create in PM tool, select Notion and the target database, and every matching task becomes a page automatically.

Not through the integration. Notion pages are created without an assignee, and you set person properties inside Notion as usual. Assignee selection from Finseo is available for ClickUp, Asana, Linear, Jira, Monday.com, Trello, and awork, but not for Notion databases.

Yes. All Finseo integrations, including Notion and the automation rules, are included on every plan with no per-integration fees. On the Notion side you need workspace owner rights once to create the internal integration, which also works on free Notion workspaces.
