Overview

Your AI visibility data in Cursor.

Ask about your AEO and GEO results in plain language: visibility trends, competitors and cited sources, answered from your own Finseo tracking data. Adding the Finseo MCP server to Cursor gives the agent in your editor read-only access to your AI visibility data.

01

Build pages around real AI queries

Ask Cursor for the most frequent query fan-outs on your tracked prompts. get_query_fanouts returns the sub-queries AI models run, so new pages and sections answer the questions engines actually ask.

02

Implement Finseo tasks in code

Ask for the top open task. list_tasks and get_task_details return the step-by-step plan and evidence, and Cursor helps implement it directly in your codebase, for example a new FAQ block or structured data.

03

Check what AI engines cite

get_top_sources shows which domains and pages ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini cite for your prompts.

04

Read the answer you are optimizing for

Pull the actual answer text with get_answer_content and see which brands were named and which sources were cited, so content changes target a concrete answer instead of a guess.

05

Verify after deployment

After shipping a change, ask Cursor for the visibility trend of the affected prompts with get_visibility_timeseries and a model filter, without switching to the dashboard.

How it connects

How the Cursor AI visibility integration works.

Why it matters

Why Cursor customers need AI visibility tracking.

Content and site changes that improve AI visibility are often made in code: new sections, FAQ blocks, structured data, or restructured pages. Without a connection, the developer works from a ticket and never sees the AI answers the change is meant to influence.

How to connect

Connect Cursor to Finseo.

In 5 steps, no code required.

  1. Step 01

    Create an API key

In Finseo, open Settings, API and create an API key with read scope. Copy the key for the next step.

  2. Step 02

Add the MCP server in Cursor

In Cursor, add a new MCP server with the URL https://api.finseo.ai/v1/mcp and the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY.

  3. Step 03

    Check that the tools load

Once connected, Cursor lists the 15 Finseo tools, from list_projects to get_task_details. Start with list_projects to find the project ID the other tools need.

  4. Step 04

    Ask your first question

Try "Which fan-out queries appear most for my tracked prompts?" or "Show my top open Finseo task". The agent calls the right tools and answers from your data.

  5. Step 05

    Follow the full guide

Configuration examples for Cursor, Claude Code, and other MCP clients are in the Finseo documentation at docs.finseo.ai/mcp/overview.
